Just like engagement portraits, wedding photography has come a long way. In my parent’s day, a couple would drop by the studio or have a photographer come to their wedding location to have a few traditional wedding portraits taken in their attire. A photographer could book multiple weddings in one day. Now, when a photographer books a wedding, that photographer is usually shadowing the couple and documenting every detail and moment throughout the entire day. Photojournalism has definitely married wedding photography and this is their “baby.” It’s both wonderful and intense, and highly personalized.
